Fuel regulations vary not only from rental company to rental company, but also by the type of rental agreement.Be sure to read the fine printand consider your options. Each contract is one of the following:
Full to full
MeaningTy Pick up your rental car with a full tank and return it with a full tank. This option is very easy at Palma Airport as there are numerous gas stations nearby. This option is often the cheapest overall, although you may pay more initially.
Presale or full to empty
Thanks to the fuel policy before purchaseYou buy a full tank of gas when you collect your rent. The fuel price is determined by the car rental company and fuel left in the tank will not be refunded. If you don't plan on driving much, this probably isn't the best option for you. It's worth considering if you plan to drive a lot and/or know you will only have a short amount of time to return the car.
Pre-order with money back
Your rental car is full of fuelwhen you pick it up and you have to do itpay full price for it. Here, too, the car rental company sets the price for the fuel. However, upon return of the vehicle, the cost of the remaining fuel will be charged and returned to your card, less the administration fee stated on the rental agreement.

Traffic fines in Mallorca
If you are stopped by the police and fined, you must pay it immediately in cash or by card. If more than an hour has passed, you will have to pay the full fine. Look at the ticket and pay the amount at one of the listed banks. If you wish, you can almost always pay your fine online.
Paying the fine quickly is always the best option. If payment is made within 20 days, the penalty is reduced by 50%. If you wait until you return the car to pay the fee, the rental company will likely add a handling fee to your fine for their problems.
Sometimes people get fake tickets when using a rental car. To prevent landlords from overcrowding public parking lots, the law only allows parking in these lots when used by customers and not just for storage. So if you think you parked lawfully in a public lot and don't deserve the fine you received, ask the landlord about it. Maybe you're exactly right! For more information on fines in Mallorca seeHere.
