Rental rates for vehicles

Taxis charge at most the following taximeters:

  • Three dollars and fifty cents ($3.50) for the first mile or part thereof
  • Two dollars and fifty cents ($2.50) for each additional mile or fraction thereof
  • Forty cents ($0.40) for every minute you wait
  • A minimum fare of fifteen dollars ($15.00) applies when departing from Tampa International Airport. The actual meter price is the total price if the meter exceeds fifteen dollars (US$15.00) or more.

Taxis have the option of charging the metered price above or the flat rate below, but only for journeys originating from or arriving within the countryAgainan urban short-haul zone consisting of the downtown area of ​​Tampa, the boundaries of which will be determined by the agency. Flat rates can only be calculated as follows:

  • There is a maximum flat rate of four dollars (US$4.00) for single-passenger trips originating and terminating in this zone.

Taxis may charge a passenger up to fifty dollars (US$50.00) for cleaning if the passenger soils the interior of the taxi with bodily fluids or solids. This fee is in addition to the rates above.

Limousines charge a minimum rate of thirty dollars (US$30.00) per hour or a fraction thereof, whether such limousines are used on an hourly, daily, weekly, monthly or other specified basis.

Handicabs charges a minimum rate of eighteen dollars ($18.00) for pickup and two dollars ($2.00) per mile.

Vans charges a minimum fare of twelve dollars ($12.00) for the first passenger in a group and five dollars ($5.00) for each additional passenger in the same group.

Tariffs and Zones

Flat rates at the airport

  • Only for direct journeys without changing trains
  • Tampa Airport To & From Metropolitan Area - $25.00
  • There is no taximeter operation for a flat rate
  • All other airport tours cost a minimum of $15

urban zone

  • $4.00 per person for tours beginning and ending in this zone
  • Two or more passengers – USD 4.00 per person flat rate (without meter)
  • One passenger – The operator can use the taximeter or charge a fare of $4.00

Towing and Immobilization Fees

  • Class A vehicles – up to 10,000 pounds or vessels 15 feet or less

    1. Maximum flat rate of $125.00 for towing without a permit or in the event of a misdemeanor
    2. In addition to the flat rate, towing may charge mileage up to a maximum of $5.00 per mile, but no more than 10 miles for towing for violations
    3. In addition to the flat rate, towing may charge a mileage fee of up to $5.00 per mile for towing without a permit
    4. For towing that exceeds the first 30 minutes at the scene of an accident, towing service may charge a maximum of $20.00 per 15-minute block in addition to the flat rate
    5. For towing without a permit and in the event of a violation, towing may charge a maximum daily storage fee of $25.00
    6.     4. For unauthorized towing that exceeds the first 30 minutes at the scene of an accident, towing service may charge a maximum of $50.00 for the next 15 minute block in addition to the flat rate
    5. For towing without a permit and in the event of a violation, towing may charge a maximum daily storage fee of $55.00
    6. For towing that requires excessive manpower, lifting and recovery to remove the vehicle from a ditch, semi-submerged vehicle, or off-road, the towing company may charge a maximum rate of $275.00 per hour, charged in half-hour increments provided that the charge does not exceed the $137.50 charge for the first half hour
    7. A maximum flat fee of $35.00 may be charged for immobilization
  • Additional prices and terms and conditions:

    1. There are no additional costs for using Go-Jak or carts
    2. Storage fees are only charged after the first six hours have elapsed and are billed for each additional calendar day
    3. The filing and processing of a lien notice may not exceed $75.00 per towed vehicle. The application and processing fee is charged only if the towing service has complied with the requirements of Florida Section 713.78
    4. Towing Service may charge a maximum of $15.00 if it deems it necessary to cover and service a stored vehicle to protect the interior of the vehicle from damage caused by inclement weather
    5. If vehicle or vessel release is requested outside of business hours or on days when towing and/or immobilisation services are closed, the Company may charge a maximum $50.00 service fee for vehicle or vessel unlocking and release.
    6. The towing and/or immobilisation service may charge $50.00 per opening for towing without a permit, but only if 3 hours have elapsed after notifying local law enforcement and the vehicle owner of the towing and/or immobilising, the release time may be increased 18 hours can be extended to the time of submitting the request at no additional cost. No further storage or deposit fees are charged as part of the 18-hour individual contract extension.
    7. All storage and collection charges are to be paid prior to delivery of the vehicle or vessel
